Are you a Virgin Lover? Because I Definitely Am.
If there's one thing I look forward to every year, it's the Virgin Labfest. Oh no, it's not what you think. ;-) It's a festival of unstaged, untried, unpublished plays - thus the term 'virgin'. There are more than 10 plays that get showcased every year and usually I try to watch as many plays I can. A bunch of them stand out, and of course, there are productions that are not very memorable, still it's worth the time and experience. I also make sure that I make a review of the plays I like, and sometimes join in the play review contest.
Three reasons why I'm excited to watch this year's Virgin Labfest: one of the play's co-written by a friend and classmate of mine in Grad School, the line-up's pretty interesting (and intriguing) and I'm tagging along new theater recruits (who by the way are very eager to watch in CCP).
Hopefully, they'll like the set they're gonna see and make them like the theater as a valuable form of entertainment.
